A watery walk of 9 miles

Train: Train leaves Euston at 9.17 to Milton Keynes Central . Arrives MK 10.07. ( Birmingham New St train). Buy a  return to MK (£12.50 ) and a single from Wolverton to MK  (£2.50 ) this saves £4.75 on the return  fare to Wolverton. Return from Wolverton. Trains half hourly. Loos at stations and on the train.

Food: A long morning with no coffee! Bring a snack to eat /drink around 11

The Walk: The walk follows Loughton Valley Park, Grand Union Canal and returns via Ouse Valley Way. Follows a water course all the way .

Short afternoon. Flat all the way. No stiles – and no mud!

Paths are hard surfaces but all have soft grass verges.   Great for bird watchers. Some grand industrial architecture including  aqueducts, horse tunnel and viaduct .
