Sevenoaks Circular, 22 March

I am pleased to report no significant changes to the already published programme.

Train: departs London Charing Cross 09.15, Waterloo East 09.18, London Bridge 09.24, and Orpington 09.40. Arrives Sevenoaks 9.49. Trains back 17, 29, 47 and 59.

The Walk: Sevenoaks to Igtham Mote via Knowle Park. Ten miles. On the walkover, I found the amount of mud fairly minimal, but there were a couple of spots where edging past would have been easier with the aid of a stick.

Unfortunately, Knowle House will be closed for filming so no café or loos on our way back (no loos between Sevenoaks Station and Igtham Mote either am or pm). The pedestrian gates were all open and, on the plus side, the absence of vehicles meant the normally shy deer population were wandering freely. I expect both the morning and afternoon parts to last about 2 hrs 30 minutes.

Lunch: Picnic at Igtham Mote, where the café and toilets should be open, but note that there are sometimes quite large groups stopping there.
