Eynsford to Otford, 2 Dec

This is a change from the original programme. It will probably be rather muddy with some hills in the morning.

Trains. London Blackfriars 9.10; arr Eynsford 9.52. Buy a return ticket to Otford. This is the Sevenoaks train, also calling at Elephant 9.13 and Herne Hill 9.22.

The walk. A total of about 8 miles. The morning will be longer and hillier than the afternoon, with some wonderful views. We will come down beside the Shoreham Cross for lunch at Shoreham. The afternoon will be flat but still muddy in places, walking to Otford via Pluto (https://unop.uk/otford-solar-system/). Possibilities for tea at Otford. Poles advised, especially for some of the muddy downhills in the morning.

Break-off. Those who want to do a shorter walk can either end the walk at Shoreham, where there is a train station, or join us at lunchtime and do the afternoon. Please let me know if you mean to join at lunchtime (enquiries@morleyramblers.uk).
