Coulsdon South Circular, 13 January

Trains: Please note the train is earlier than originally advertised. It will be leaving London Bridge at 9.59, East Croydon 10.17, arr Coulsdon South 10.25.

The Walk is 7-8 miles through Farthing Down, Happy Valley and Coulsdon Common. It is undulating with some short but sharpish hills. These can be slippery when it is muddy (as it was on the recce) and you may want to bring a stick. We will visit Chaldon Church in the morning, hoping to see the 12th century wall painting if the church is open.

Lunch is at the Fox pub on Coulsdon Common. I have booked a provisional table and it would be useful to know numbers beforehand.

Dropout: there is a possible dropout point at lunchtime (buses from Coulsdon Common to Purley or South Croydon station).
